Bodean's BBQ - A little slice of Kentucky in the heart of Tower Hill

So I know this goes against the 'beef rules' theme of this blog, but I feel I have to give an honourable mention to Bodean's BBQ for its fabulous attention to meat detail.

An early bird dinner at Bodeans on a Thursday evening was on the cards for me and a couple of dining/drinking companions - the main driver being smoked pork, and regional American beer...and boy was it good.

We jumped straight into mains, ordering two mixed meat platters for two, between three of us, and about 10 minutes after we ordered we had two massive plates of pork and chicken sat in front of us, with the rich smell of oak smoked meat surrounding the table in a meaty haze. Included were generous portions of coleslaw and fries, which in themselves were dwarfed by the mountain of meat piled on the plate.

So what did it include (in the meaty mountain):
  • Jacobs Ladder ribs
  • Burnt ends
  • Baby back ribs
  • 1/4 chicken
  • Coleslaw
  • Fries
Lovely, lovely, lovely. If you like meat simple, smoked, and lots of it, get your ass down to Bodean's BBQ!

  2. It is great! I think they even do a £10 deal for a platter and a beer...worth a visit just for that!
