Burgers from MotherFlipper and Patty and Bun: London Burger Roundup #6

Today's London Burger Roundup features burger porn from the ubiquitous MotherFlipper, and the recent Patty and Bun pop-up at The Endurance, Soho:

What did you think?: This was my first burger from Motherflipper. To put things in perspective, I have since made the pilgrimage twice to dine on their fine fayre and I don't live in London. A spur of the moment decision, based on the strength of their reputation and numerous pictures I had seen on Twitter, led me to Eat St @ Kings Cross that Tuesday lunchtime. I ordered the Motherflipper Cheeseburger. The wait was short, cooked to order but long enough to watch as they assembled the burger with care and precision. With kitchen roll stuffed under my arm I found a free table and just admired the burger for a brief moment. I wrapped my kitchen roll around the underside (I'm still a lady) and wiped just enough meaty juice off my hand to take the bite through picture. Then I smashed the rest in a juicy meat frenzy. The brioche bun soft and light held together the lightly seasoned patty (perfectly pink inside) with just enough ketchup & mustard, lettuce, onion and gherkin. Simple but beautifully done and clearly moreish. Damn you Motherflipper!

Bareback Ari Gold burger from Patty and Bun

What did you think?: I love Patty & Bun, but I'm often telling Joe I'd like it less saucy and with more cheese. Because I am annoying. Last night he'd had enough and rustled me up this: no salad, less sauce, double-cheese, caramelised onions. He calls it the Bareback and I bet if you ask he'll make one for you too.
Here's the Burger Me! take on the Bareback from Patty & Bun:
