[Meat Free January] Falafel Burger from Deliverance Food
I've been a big fan of Deliverance ever since I reviewed a host of their burgers last spring, so when they got in touch to support my Meat Free January, I thought it would be rude NOT to sample some items from their vegetarian menu - including their popular Falafel burger.

Falafel burger from Deliverance |
You're probably aware by now that January has been a tough month for me. A lack of meat, and no booze, has culminated in me sampling a pile of London's veggie burgers, so let's see how Veggie Burger #5 from Deliverance matches up...
Deliverance is a proper takeaway food place, with kitchens scattered around London, serving restaurant meals packaged in their red and white liveried boxes.
From the menu: Falafel Burger:£8.70. This consists a falafel patty with pickle, crispy lettuce and tomato, coleslaw, raita and chipotle mayo.

Surprisingly satisfying falafel burger from Deliverance |
Wrapped in the same wholemeal bun, my fears of a dry falafel were instantly put to rest. Instead what you get is a warm and rather satisfying chickpea patty, well seasoned and wrapped in a tangy coleslaw underpinned with a crunchy raita and chipotle mayo, topped with vineagary wedges of gherkin. It's pretty good, considering it doesn't have an spot of meat in it!

Also from Deliverance came some satisfyingly spicy onion bhajis, some AMAZING deep fried risotto balls - easily my favourite side I've had from them, and a side portion of coleslaw, the same tangy mix that is wedged beneath the falafel patty.
All in all, it's a pretty good show from the upmarket food delivery company. Good work!
