[Infographic] Burgers are big business in the UK - but how big?

An infographic popped into my inbox the other day that gives a great overview of the burger boom experienced in the UK in 2013. It was created by Rangeland foods (purveyors of the terrifying sounding 'Flamed Steakburger') and in my view does a pretty good job of demonstrating how the humble burger has come to dominate menus across the country.

I've split out some of the more interesting sections here, but you can view the full infographic at the bottom of this post.

The Burger Boom:

Burgers are the number 1 menu item in the UK - outranking Pizza, Fish and Chips and Steak. They've always been my number 1, so thankfully others are starting to agree.

Burgers by Numbers:

So, 95% of consumers eat a burger once a month. C'mon people, you can do better than that. how about once a day?!

Burger Restaurant Growth:

Great to see independent burger chains growing so fast - the more great indies we have, the better!
