London Burger Bash - The Final - #LBBFinal

It's been a long road for London's best burger slingers - 18 months of heats and then down to four finalists on 6 April 2014.

Take a look at my brief photo story from the day.

First, Fred Smith presents his Bacon Cheeseburger.

A brief interlude from Almost Famous with their squeal piggy squeal fries.

Quickly followed by Burger Bear's Disco Bear burger with sloe gin bacon jam.

Another brief interlude followed with Roti Chai's cracking pulled chuck slider.

Before getting stuck into Patty & Bun's bacon cheeseburger.

And finally Bleecker St. Burger present their Black Cheeseburger and were crowned the winners of LBB 2014.

See a brief history of the heats below:

The first head-to-head burger heat, arranged by Daniel Young under his BurgerMonday brand, took place at Camden Brewery in October 2012, at which Fred Smith emerged victorious against tough competition.

The second heat pushed Joe Grossman of Patty & Bun to the front of the pack with his Piggie Smalls burger (Ari Gold pictured below).

Heat three saw Zan Kaufmann of Bleecker St. Burger emerge victorious with her double cheeseburger.

The final heat, in November 2013, elevated Tom Reaney of Burger Bear to the ranks of London's burger elite.

Today, London Burger Bash comes to a head, with the four finalists coming head-to-head to be crowned London's best burger.

And I am thoroughly looking forward to it!
